About two years ago I started having symptoms of weakness and paralysis in my left arm and my left hand. A few months later, Christmas 2011, I was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease. That’s a rare neurological disease that affects the motor system (movement) only. Of all things. In conventional medicine there is no cure and not many (really no) treatment options. Well, with all respect for conventional medicine, it doesn’t exactly surprise me that they have limits. By now, the symptoms have gotten so bad that I have decided to sell my Pilates studio. As of September 1 2013, I no longer own a studio and will now focus on my healing full-time. I’m looking into different methods of alternative healing and I’m quite optimistic that there is a solution.

I have started this blog to organize my thoughts in writing and to keep friends and family posted on what’s going on with me.
